Lois Kapila is the managing editor of Dublin Inquirer. A news site that launched in last June. Sebastian Stephenson checked in with Lois to see how things are coming along. Along the way we also discuss a south Dublin centric perspective to a lot of national media, the inspiration for the site and their unique business model for the media industry in Ireland. 2015 has been huge year for LGBT people in Ireland. With the high profile Marriage Equality Referendum and their lower profile but just as significant if not more, Gender Recognition bill. Making Ireland the 4th Country in the world to recognise transgender rights without the need for external proof. The GAZE International LGBT film festival Dublin has possibly it biggest year to host since its inception in 1993. When Homosexuality was decriminalised. I spoke to Noel Sutton, Director of the GAZE Film Festival and started off with how the festival started.
